BREAKNECK CREEK
WATERSHED COALITION
The mission of the Breakneck Creek Watershed Coalition is to protect and restore water quality and habitat in the Breakneck Creek Watershed through conservation, preservation, and education for present and future generations.
The Coalition is a group of concerned citizens, local governments, non-profit organizatons and resource agencies that meets regularly to learn more about the watershed and work toward its conservation.
Our activities include:
• Watershed conservation action planning
• Stream and highway cleanups
• Participation in community events with displays and educational activities
• Stream and wetland quality assessment and monitoring
• Ecological restoration
• Distributing educational materials and giving presentations to local officials, schools and the public.

The Cuyahoga River Community Planning Organization (CRCPO)
is host to the Cuyahoga River Remedial Action Plan (RAP) and
the Cuyahoga American Heritage River Initiative.

We work with partners, stakeholders and communities
in five Northeast Ohio counties to restore and revitalize the
Cuyahoga River Watershed and Areas Of Concern, and
to improve water quality in the watershed and Lake Erie.

Eventually, this site will offer more information on our watersheds, the
tributary groups working in the region, and more prospects for restoration than
you ever dreamed existed. Until then, learn more about our programs by visiting
